Bouldin Creek is a popular South Austin neighborhood located in the northern portion of the 78704 ZIP code just south of Lady Bird Lake. The borders are Town Lake to the north, Oltorf Street to the south, South Congress Avenue to the east, and South Lamar to the west. Private schools near Bouldin Creek include Montessori House of Children, San Juan Diego Catholic High School, St. Ignatius Martyr School, The Khabele School, Redeemer City School, and Cathedral School of St. Mary. Several of the private schools offer Pre-K programs. Other Bouldin Creek preschool options include Starbright Preschool, St. Mark's Episcopal Day School, and Faith United Methodist Preschool. For recreation, Guerrero Park, Dawson Park, and the West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt are popular area parks. You can also walk to the Lady Bird Lake hike-and-bike trail. There is also a popular public 9-hole, Par 3 golf course (Butler Pitch And Putt) at the northwest corner of the neighborhood. For Bouldin Creek dining, great local spots include Lenoir, Sway, Zax Pints and Plates, Polvo's, Thai Fresh, Sugar Mama's Bake Shop, Bouldin Creek Coffee House, Once Over Coffee, Vespaio, and South Congress Cafe. This may be the best casual restaurant neighborhood in the entire city. Since this neighborhood borders downtown, it's only a 5 to 7-minute commute to Congress Avenue.
