The technical boundaries are Enfield on the south, 35th Street on the
north, MoPac on the East, and Scenic Drive on the West. That said, many
local residents also consider the area just south of this pocket
(between Enfield and Lake Austin Blvd.) to be a de facto part of the
neighborhood, as they share a neighborhood association and use most of
the same shops and services. What is the average price of the homes in Tarrytown?
In 2008, single-family homes have sold for anywhere from $260,000 (a
650-square foot teardown) to upwards of $4,000,000 (a 5,000-square
foot, lakefront mansion). The average sales price for the neighborhood
was roughly $750,000 in 2008, with the median coming in at $649,000.
There are also some condominiums in the area, most of which are in the
$225,000 to $500,000 price range. What is the average age of the homes in Tarrytown?
There are a number of homes from the late 30's and early 40's in the
area, which gives the neighborhood tremendous character. There are also
an increasing number of new construction homes (conforming to
neighborhood design standards), as some of the smallest homes have made
way for newer, larger ones. What is the average size of the homes in Tarrytown? The range is roughly 1,800 to 3,000 square feet on the whole, with many homes in the 2,000 to 2,300 square foot range. How long do homes stay on the market in Tarrytown?

the homes on the market sold within 6 weeks of being listed, so don't
wait if you see something you're interested in. Why do residents choose to live in Tarrytown? There's a lot to like: quiet streets, proximity to downtown, beautiful homes, lake access, parks, and trees. What are some negatives of living in Tarrytown?
Prices are high due to the downtown proximity, and some blocks border
the MoPac freeway, which can lead to road noise in the 3 to 4 blocks
closest to Tarrytown's eastern boundary. What are the public schools like in Tarrytown?
The area is served by the Austin Independent School District. Most

the TEA to be Academically Acceptable. How close are the schools to Tarrytown?
